PaperPort 9 is a powerful and handy tool that allows you to easily convert your paper documents into digital format and efficiently organize your information.

When you use the program for the first time, it automatically finds all supported applications such as Microsoft Office or e-mail programs, so you can drag and drop any document to the application's associated button in PaperPort. It also has
improved scanning features, such as: multi-page and dual sided scanning. By default, the program installs My paperport Documents folder and subfolders in My Documents folder and these ones cannot be deleted or moved. Moreover, the program supports batch processing, so you can do several quick operations at a time. After scanning your documents, you can access the page view window where you can view, touch-up, rotate, straighten, remove stray dots and erase portions from them. With photos you can crop, brighten, remove red eye and perform other simple editing and enhancing tasks. Even if you don't have a scanner, you'll probably find dozens of ways to organize and manage your data files with PaperPort.
This version of the program is no longer available for download, but you can download the latest version which has even more options and useful features.

Paperport 9 should work in Windows Vista and Windows 7. It works ok on my computer. Try using compatibility mode.

Indispensible programme, used, in my case, to download images from Google-Earth and similar programmes for turning into map-graphics for documentary video use. But, it has numerous other uses as well, likely to be limited only by your imagination. My only complaint, I wish it would not run itself so aggressively on boot-up and have to be switched-off again. Working high up on the screen is inclined to 'pick-up' the toolbar accidentally; great though, when you are able to switch 'on' and 'off' as and when needed.
